Virtual/Online Session Access
Unable to Attend? Get Access to the Meeting Sessions
If you are unable to attend ASCO’s 2010 Annual Meeting, there are still a number of avenues to learn more about the sessions held at the event.
First, an archived podcast of the May 20 educational briefing for patient advocates will be available for free on ASCO’s patient information website, Cancer.Net (www.cancer.net). This podcast – entitled Answers from the Experts: The Latest Cancer Research News from the World’s Premier Cancer Meeting – is expected to be available on Cancer.Net by noon EDT on May 21, 2010.
In addition, you may want to consider a Virtual Meeting or Podcast subscription. These video and audio products are for people who are not able to attend the meeting but would like access to all of the meeting presentations (audio, video, and slides). All non-ticketed sessions are included – Education, Clinical Science Symposia, Oral Abstracts, and Posters. The majority of presentations will be available within 24 hours of each session’s completion. A discounted rate is available for patients and caregivers, so please contact patientadvocates@asco.org if you are interested in purchasing either product.
And, please note that you don’t need to be in Chicago to have access to the meeting’s breaking research information. Thousands of scientific abstracts are released each year at the ASCO Annual Meeting, and you can search the entire collection of meeting abstracts for free by visiting ASCO’s website. The 2010 Annual Meeting abstracts will be available the following day, May 21, 2010.
