Annual Meeting Program Timeline
May 2010: Disclosure Indices released
In accordance with ASCO's policy to ensure objectivity and scientific rigor in all of its educational activities, the Disclosure Indices report information provided by abstract authors, faculty, and planning committee members regarding potential conflicts of interest and relationships with industry that may have a direct bearing on research subject matter.
May 20, 2010 at 6 PM (EDT): Annual Meeting Abstracts released online
Abstracts are selected by the ASCO Scientific Program Committee for presentation and/or publication in association with the ASCO Annual Meeting.
Past Timeline Dates
Early March 2010: Preliminary session information released
Preliminary session information provides an outline of the Annual Meeting program organized by track. This session information includes:
- Session titles
- Session dates and times
- Education Session chairs
Late March 2010: Program Announcement mails
The Program Announcement offers a preliminary Meeting schedule to help attendees identify areas and topics of interest. The publication also includes:
- Registration and membership information
- Meeting planning and travel information
- Onsite information, including services for international attendees, ASCO’s concierge services, and features of the Oncology Professional Hall (formerly, the Exhibit Hall)
- Chicago tourism information and discount opportunities
April, 12 2010: Online Meeting Program launch
Use the online Meeting Program to create a personal itinerary that can be printed and/or exported to your mobile device.
Late April 2010: Preliminary Annual Meeting Program mails
The Preliminary Annual Meeting Program contains the educational and scientific program, including session dates, times, and locations; faculty; and abstract titles for oral abstract and poster presentation sessions. Information in the Preliminary Annual Meeting Program is sorted in several different ways:
- Annual Meeting Calendar of Events provides Meeting activities organized by day
- Program by Track enables lists sessions within attendees' preferred area of interest
- Program by Day provides a chronologic schedule of sessions, with more comprehensive information such as names of faculty and presenters
- Indices of Scientific Sessions, Special Sessions, and Clinical Science Symposia allow attendees to search for a specific abstract presentation or a key session
